Cookie Policy

LegacyData by Kamyab uses only strictly necessary cookies. No advertising or tracking cookies. Here is exactly what we set and why.

1. In short

This public website sets no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies. The only cookies we set are strictly necessary session cookies, used when you sign in to a customer status page or when staff sign in to the staff portal. If you only read pages, fill in the assessment or send an enquiry, we do not need to set a cookie of our own.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in. Others are used to track or advertise, and we do not use those.

3. Cookies we use

PurposeWho sets itWhy it is needed
Strictly necessary session cookie: customer project-status sign-inLegacyData (first party)Keeps you signed in to your status page after you use your sign-in link or code. Expires when the session ends or after a limited time.

SecurityLegacyData (first party)Helps protect forms and sign-in from forged requests and abuse.
Bot check on formsCloudflare TurnstileMay set its own strictly necessary cookies or similar storage to tell humans from automated bots.
PaymentRazorpayMay set its own strictly necessary cookies when you pay, to process the payment and prevent fraud.

Cookies set by Cloudflare and Razorpay are under their control. Their policies apply to those cookies.

4. Analytics without cookies

To understand which pages help people, we use privacy-conscious, first-party analytics that set no cookies and do not build a profile of you. Specifically:

  • A random visit identifier is kept in your browser's sessionStorage. It belongs to that browser tab and disappears when you close the tab. It is not shared across tabs or visits.
  • If you arrive through a campaign link (for example one with utm_source in the address), that first-touch campaign information is also held in sessionStorage for the visit, so that an enquiry or assessment can be linked to the campaign that brought you.
  • We do not store your IP address in analytics.
  • Events are simple: a page viewed, an assessment or form started or completed. They are stored on our own systems and are not sold or shared with advertisers.

When you submit an enquiry or assessment, the campaign source for your visit is saved with it so we know how you found us. We use analytics to improve the website, not to follow individuals.

5. What we do not use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No third-party tracking pixels.
  • No social-media tracking widgets.

6. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, features such as sign-in and payment may not work. Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner for optional ones.

7. Changes and questions

If we ever add other cookies, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where required. Questions: aj@kamyab.co.in. See also the Privacy Policy.
